Sound Designer

Nate Ferro

Nate Ferro joined Loupe full-time after working as a freelance sound designer on “Marrow,” for which he won a regional festival award. His work leans on diegetic, location-sourced sound over library effects wherever possible — the cold-storage compressor hum on “Marrow” and the transmitter building’s electrical hum on “Reyna Actual: Amber Static” are both his recordings from the actual locations, mixed into the score rather than removed as noise.

He handles dialogue editing, sound design, and final mix for the majority of Loupe’s narrative and documentary work, and coordinates external composers on projects that need original score.
