Mara Voss

Mara Voss founded Loupe in 2014 after eight years directing commercial and branded work, on the premise that a studio built around a small, permanent in-house crew would produce more consistent work than assembling a new freelance team for every job. She wrote and directed both of Loupe’s narrative features, “Marrow” and “Low Tide,” and directed the studio’s first feature documentary, “Harbor Light.”

Her directing approach favors practical light and minimal coverage over extensive setups, a preference that shapes how Loupe schedules and budgets every production the studio takes on, commercial or narrative.
